Tom the Cat and Jerry the Mouse, along with Spike and his son Tyke, Quacker the Duck, and other friends, all of which are
the originals.

What’s the Plot:
It’s simple, Tom, who is the cat, is always going after Jerry, who is the little mouse. There’s not much to the story lines
to these toons other than Tom is always after Jerry while along the way they meet up with other characters who are either
trying to stop Tom or are being chased after by Tom. Both characters are trouble makers, just one for the other. While it’s
Jerry who seems to get the help from the other characters that appear, such as Spike helping him escape the pursuit of Tom,
which both end up causing trouble for each other.

Why I like It:
I like it cause it’s Tom and Jerry. Here are two characters that their names alone can bring up images and memories of
laughter and fun, which is a rare thing in cartoons made now. These two characters are always running around causing
trouble but making you laugh as they do it. What’s more they keep you guessing as to what they are going to do next. Sure,
you know that Tom is going to chase Jerry but why, how, for what reason, and who else is going to get involved?
The story lines in these shorts are really easy to follow. With one Tyke, the son puppy to Spike the Bulldog, has the
hiccups and Spike wants to have quiet so Tyke can sleep. So when Tom starts to chase after Jerry, Jerry does things like
putting horns on Toms feet so he makes noise to wake up Tyke. It’s these sort of antics that made me laugh and laugh while
watching.
It’s easy to follow, it has a lot of funny moments, and though these two characters are always causing trouble for one
another, they are good natured to watch. I used to watch these cartoons when I was a kid and after watching this hour and
half of them again I was still laughing. I was also remembering seeing them, that’s just how good the show was.
What makes Tom and Jerry so fun to watch is everything. There is no one aspect of this cartoon that is good because it’s
all good. All the minor characters that appear to help cause trouble for one or both of the characters are fun to see, the
sounds being used as Jerry hits Tom with a frying pan, the look of Toms face after being hit by said frying pan, it’s all
just so good and so funny. This is one cartoon that no matter when or what age I am, it will always be good and it will
always be funny.

What I Didn't Like:
It wasn't long enough. With only an hour and half of these shorts I was finished with it before I could really get enough of it. I wanted more of the laughter that I got from watching this and just don't get why so few was used when there are so many that have been made. For voulme one, this is one very, sadly, too short and few, set list of a great cartoon that should have been at least 4 hours long instead of the 93 minutes that it is.
