Getting ready for the Easter holiday Nickelodeon release Dora’s Easter Adventure. Dora and Boots are waiting for the Hip Hop Bunny to arrive and hide their Easter eggs so that they can begin their Easter festivities. Unfortunately Swiper finds a way to ruin the fun for everyone by taking the Hip Hop Bunny's Easter basket and tossing it. With help from Dora and Boots the Hip Hop Bunny heads out to find his lost basket and get the festivities back on track.

Dora’s Easter Adventure is more a musical episode that has, as you could have guess, the Hip Hop Bunny laying down simple rap style speech. Not only does the Hip Hop Bunny rap but so do Dora and Boots. I cringed at first but this is just one of those moments that you have to realize that this isn’t for you, it’s for the kids. So aside from the rapping it’s pretty much a standard episode with Dora and Boots following instruction from The Map, offering your child the opportunity to learn a little Spanish and offering a fun filled adventure with characters your kids may know and love. Another noticeable bonus in this episode is the more vibrant colors, improvement in animation, as well as design.

Along with Dora’s Easter Adventure you also get two episodes starring Mr. Troll, the grumpy fellow who lives under the bridge. In the first bonus episode Mr. Troll is getting married, but guess who comes along to ruin the occasion? Kind of a cute episode. The second has Dora and Boots taking a trip to Trill land. As silly as that may sound it’s a place Dora and Bots have never gone before and expands the Dora universe for kids who have been following the show and its usual routes through forests and winding rivers.

More bonus’ include 5 karaoke songs from Dora’s Easter Adventure that you can sing along with or turn off the vocals for. Then you have the final bonus feature which offers a higher level of interactive play for the kids. When you turn this feature on an Easter egg pops up and you can click on it and use your remote to play along with the DVD for a brief time. That’s kind of cool. So if your kids are old enough to fit the demographic it’s a fun little release that they should get a kick out of. Enjoy.
