Show: The Sarah Silverman Program Season/Volume: 2.5 Genre: Comedy Starring: Sarah Silverman, Brian Posehn, Jay Johnston, Laura Silverman, Steve Agee Studio: Comedy Central Runtime: 217 minutes Release Date: February 9, 2010 Format: DVD Discs: 2 Rating: ( )Grade: C The Sarah Silverman Program is borderline stupid but there is something special about it that makes you want to keep watching. It star Sarah and her group of friends including gay couple Brian and Steve, officer Jay, and her sister Laura, as they get into all kinds of crazy shenanigans that end up with Sarah learning some valuable lesson. From semi-racist comments to just plain idiotic actions, the show pushes all kinds of buttons so if you're easily offended, then do not watch it. For many though, seemingly random scenes compiled together will produce multiple WTF moments that will leave you either speechless or simply hanging your head in shame. Not for yourself of course, but for her. There are definitely some scenes and jokes that will make you laugh. Brian and Steve are probably two of the best characters on the show, and the episode where Sarah gets new friends is priceless. The extras aren't half bad either will interviews and web clips from the show that explain a little bit more of all the wackiness that ensues. The Sarah Silverman Program will no doubt offend many but it's all in the name of comedy. If you can think it, you can bet that Sarah will do it. |
