Aside from the random capitalization of RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, Tsubasa tells the story of Syaoran, a young man who is destined to save the life of Princess Sakura who has lost her memories which have been scattered across the multiverse. He travels with two companions, Kurogane and Fai, in search of these memory fragments in the hopes that he will be reunited with his love, the princess. QUALITY:
It's good but definitely not the best an anime on Blu-ray can be. The character animations look fantastic but the backgrounds lack detail and appear cloudy. The audio is stunning and is accompanied by an inspiring music score. BONUS FEATURES:
Commentaries, audio cast auditions, character and world guides, textless intros, and trailers.
I was a bit surprised at how many bonus features there were. Usually it's only textless intros when it comes to anime. Unfortunately, none of them truely utilize the high def. format. There is no accompanying video to the auditions and the guides are simple self-guided Powerpoint presentations featuring sketches and drawings. It's interesting stuff, just nothing spectacular.
