Meeting of Important People is an actual band name, believe it or not, maybe shorten it to M.I.P? I don’t know, but I got to listen to their EP “Quit Music”. M.I.P. as I like to call them as of this review anyway, is an Indie-pop, Folkie, garage band thing. I do not know how to describe the genre they are in.

M.I.P. kind of have their own sound, which is a good thing, if I would say what they kind of sound like is maybe a little of Coldplay mixed with the Monkees and some Simon and Garfunkel mixed in there. The EP consists of ten tracks, three of which are just demos of some songs. The first song “Training Song” I think I rather like, then the playlist goes onto song two called “Jesus Song” which makes you think “oh they are Christian type band” because it’s about finding Jesus etc. but then you come to song three called  “Big Muscles” and the first words are “let my Big Muscles rub you down girl..” I do not think that would very “Christianly” to put in a song.  Song four is Leap The Dips, song is pretty mellow, has some fast beats, but nothing to exciting. And pretty much that is the rest of the CD mellow, up beat songs, I think they start faster then go slower by the end of the EP.
