I am a fan of the weird, bizarre, strange, random, off-kilter, eccentric, etc. in just about every aspect of life. This is especially true when it comes to humor and comedy. One of my favorite skits from the Letterman Show is called “Is This Anything?” It simply involves someone coming out on stage, performing or doing something random and then Dave and Paul Shaffer spend the next few minutes discussing whether or not what they’ve just witness is anything. It might be something, or nothing, but is it anything? It’s so dumb it’s brilliant, with the right touch of absurdist humor that I laugh whenever I see it.
