10 Notable Moments in the X-Men Days of Future Past Trailer Batman Arkham Origins Thoughts and Other Movie News

10 THINGS IN THE NEW X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST TRAILER:
Last week Marvel released not only a teaser trailer to the teaser trailer of Captain America: Winter Soldier but they released a full teaser trailer for the movie. This week however for the many who didn't get the opportunity to attend Comic Con in San Diego (that includes me), we get to finally see the trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past that was shown then. Well, it's out now and I just watched it, multiple times, and I am pretty excited about this movie.

Before I get to the 10 cool things that was put in this trailer I want to touch on the topic that I see people talking about. That is, this trailer looks like it will be set mainly in the 70's instead of the future and where were the Sentinels? My guess is this, first off this is only a teaser trailer and it's the very first one so they're not going to be putting all the big draws in it while still having nearly 7 months left before the movie comes out. Another thing, there are still nearly 7 months left which means they are still working on a lot of the special effects so for the trailers that might have fighting in it they might not have them finished yet. Lastly, this teaser did seem set more in the past then the past but it still is only a teaser leaving a lot of footage unseen so we will get that bleak future when it's released.
Now onto the list.
Wait, one last thing, if you haven't seen the trailer this list will contain SPOILERS. In fact it will contain exactly 10 SPOILERS

SPOILERS

10. Wolverine is sent back instead of Kitty Pryde
9. Beast seems to be trying to drown Magneto
8. Wolverine looks to be wearing body armor
7. Bobby Drake a.k.a. Iceman seems to be working with future Magneto
6. Wolverine is attacking the president who seems to be Nixon
5. Someone is shooting some energy into Wolverines head and what looks like Warpaths bag under his head
4. Speaking of Warpath, Warpath, Blink, Sunspot, and Bishop are in the trailer
3. It looks like Magneto is starting a war in the past with humans
2. Puck
1. Xavier seems to have lost hope in the 70's (maybe he found out he goes bald)

This trailer is pretty exciting to watch but I have a few problems with it. First off why is Wolverine getting sent to the past? OK, sure he's famous, he's one of the most liked characters, and like in the comics he seems to be in all the Marvel movies. Still though, with Hugh Jackman getting older (you can see the difference from the first X-Men movie to now) and Wolverine not supposed to be aging, then this would have been a good time to get new characters out there. Which would have been Kitty Pryde, yeah not new, but compared to the screen time Wolverine has had, she is still a baby. Then there's how this makes it look more like a Wolverine must save the day movie instead of one where he could die leaving the world on the brink of death if someone else don't step up. Ok, that's really it, thought there was more but while in the excitement of watching I seemed to have thought there was more but really this is a pretty tight trailer.

SOME OTHER MOVIE UPDATES:
Do you know the name Aaron Taylor-Johnson? If not he's Kick-Ass, as in the character from the movie Kick-Ass and now will be in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Until Wednesday there where some conflicts with his promoting schedule for the remake of Godzilla that he is in. But now that has been cleared up and he can become the fastest Marvel character known as Quicksilver or when not using that name he's Pietro Maximoff the son of Magneto.

Not a lot has been said about this movie yet, mainly because they are still just starting the casting and haven't even started shooting. That is about the reboot on Fantastic Four. My question is, does there need to be a reboot of the film? I really don't think so because we already had the first 2, which I can agree weren't the greatest of the Marvel movies but they weren't all that bad either (especially compared to Ghost Rider 2). With all the different characters/titles at their disposal why not go with something new. Silver Surfer would have been a better choice and they could even throw in the FF as part of the back ground or maybe a Black Panther movie. And if they insist on doing a reboot do it with Daredevil, that movie really needs a better take on him.

And I don't want to leave this out of the movie talk, Thor: The Dark World. It comes out next week, November 8 and I will be there at midnight to watch it. With every new trailer that I saw on this movie it grew in looking better and cooler. Plus Kat Dennings is back in it so there's that. Though now that the movie is so close to being out, what will the end credits scene be? Remember in Iron Man 3 it wasn't anything that teased the Avengers 2 like the previous movies did in Phase One, so will they do that again in Thor? Will it just be a stand alone end credit scene that has no further purpose than to be there at the end of the movie or will it tease into the next Thor movie or Avengers? Well, only 8 more days until I find out.

BATMAN ARKHAM ORIGINS AND BLACKGATE:
Ok, I told you I was going to buy the game, and I did, both for the PS3 and the PS Vita and I've been playing on them since they came out last Friday on October 25. Since then I've come to the conclusion that I both hate and love the PS3 version and the PS Vita version sucks.
Here's why with I hate and love the PS3 version.

Love it because...
1) It still is a really great looking game for the graphics
2) The game flow is awesome
3) Batman still looks badass
4) and it's a new Batman Arkham game
Hate it because...
1) Right now I've played over 3 hours on one fight, Deathstroke
                  1. For whatever reason they made this second boss so hard that I have yet to beat him and I just keep fighting over and over and loosing every time. If you are having the same problem all I know is that you got to go with defensive instead of attacking and when you get an opening then you attack and you got to do that in 3 stages. So far I've made it to the third stage but just can't beat him because by the few times I made it to that point I didn't have any energy left.
Ok, now why does the PS Vita version suck...

1) It's not an open world game
2) You just walk Batman straight without any real control over him
3) There hasn't been much fighting
4) The cut scenes are just talking drawings (though they look cool they aren't video)
5) Where with the console version you can throw your batarang anywhere you want by moving the aim button but in the Vita version you can only throw it straight in front of you.
6) It's small, Batman is far away and small, I guess they did this to fit more in for the environment but all this does is make Batman look small and far away.
7) It's way too easy, I'm just pushing the direction stick over, push the x button a few times, and that's it, I'm really not doing anything.
8) Where's the detective work in it? So far it's told me with pop up text what to do, let me figure it out, if I need to know the controls then put in the options the layout of the controls and what they do but beyond that let me be a detective and find out what I got to do.
9) It's just not exciting, it's a boring game so far

And that's what I think so far but I also want to point out with the Vita version that I am not finished with the game. For all I know the game could get a lot better later on but for right now I'm kind of upset that I paid that much for a game that I really don't do anything in. I've accomplished more with the Lego Batman game and I've finished that game with nothing left to do but walk around breaking bricks, and it's still more exciting then Blackgate.
