Spiderman Yes, Amazing No and I Zombie

NOT A GREAT SEQUEL:
SPOILERS FOR AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2
IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT DON'T READ THIS BUT IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT SPOILERS THEN READ ON

If you don't know by this point, I'm a huge Spider-Man fan and I was pretty excited to watch The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie. So much so that I had bought a ticket for the opening night and for the following night. I was sure that with as much as I liked the first movie this second on would be even greater. After-all it had the Green Goblin, Electro, and Rhino in it, and there was that lingering question about Gwen Stacy dying. When I walked into the theater I was really excited about the movie by the time I walked out I was not happy and I was confused. Lets talk about it some, shall we.

At the start of the movie we get to see Peter Parkers parents, Richard and Mary as they are trying to escape into hiding on a plane. They of course get killed but not before sending a recording telling the world that Richard was only trying to help but Norman Osborn had some evil projects going. This is all well and good, in fact it shows that Richard is a good person but he sent the recording to a underground, hidden bunker that's an abandoned train station that no one knows about. Sure Peter later finds this hidden train bunker by shear luck, but in reality that shouldn't have happened and that recording would never have been found. Also when did Richard find the time to build a hole in an underground train line that holds a train and hides it under the tracks and rises up from under them? How did he afford to do that and how was that kind of construction never discovered? Not only that but if Richard is supposed to be such a good guy, why was he still doing the work he was doing if he knew that he would need to have a hidden underground bunker? To me that kind of says I'm doing something that requires me to have a underground bunker so it might not be that good.

There's also the relationship between Peter and Harry. If you are someone that only knows about Spider-Man/Peter Parker because you watched the first movie then how would you know about Harry Osborn? He wasn't mentioned in the first movie but all of a sudden here he is and here they are acting all buddy buddy. Until Harry wants Peter to get Spider-Mans blood so that it will save his life. Of course Peter says no and as Spidey he also says no again, cause it's too dangerous to give his blood it might kill Harry. Even though Harry is already dying, he can't do it. This might have made sense if there was some reason for Peter to say no but he just says no. Kind of strange considering that all he had was his own odd doubts but if it would have saved Harry then why not do it?
But aside from the lack of character development, the story having no story, the worst part of all this was having the movie end at the start of a fight with the Rhino. What was the deal with that? Cliffhangers are good but there has to be something there for a cliffhanger, this was just starting and then it ends. Oh, there's also the missing scene of when Harry and Peter are talking where Harry tells Peter that he was being watched by Oscorp. That's no there at all.

Then the credit scene came up, which is for X-Men: Days of Future Past. What the what? Why is that in this movie? Why wasn't we teased with Amazing Spider-Man 3? I had no clue that this was going to be the credit scene and when it happened all I could think about was why was this in the movie?

With how this movie was I'm going to have doubts about Amazing Spider-Man 3 and I'm sure most others will as well. The third better not only step up but it better jump up, do some ninja flips, and serve me some popcorn cause it has a lot to make up for after the shambles of Amazing Spider-Man 2.

A NEW ZOMBIE SHOW:
The CW will be adding a new show to their lineup called, I, Zombie. That's right, the Vertigo comic called I, Zombie will be turned into a tv show that features Rose McIver as Liv the main character of the comic. From what I understand this show will not be as the comic is rather than using the comic as a idea of what the show will be. It could work and with the way the Walking Dead is and how much people love that show, I, Zombie could do well for itself.
