When Dale Denton (Rogan) witnesses a murder he and his dealer (Franco) find themselves running for their lives in this buddy action comedy from the screenwriters that brought you Superbad and Knocked up.  Like most of the Apatow/Rogan/Goldberg films there is a no holds barred formula that involves cussing, drugs, and over the top comedy that usually works. I’m not saying that it doesn’t work, because lets face it the film comes at you at top speed, but you’ll find that as far as the comedy goes you have everything plus the kitchen sink thrown at you to get a laugh. For the most part it works but when it doesn’t it disrupts the flow of the film and its then you realize your being bombarded. As for the movie as a whole you get the feeling that this particular crew spent their lives watching franchises like Beverly Hills Cop and Die Hard and because they have the clout to pull it off they took a shot at recreating the genre. What you get is an almost action
