Power Rangers has found its Zordon. Bryan Cranston announced on Twitter that he would be playing the Rangers' mentor who will lead a new generation of heroes against the evil Rita Repulsa, played by Elizabeth Banks.
It's unclear whether or not the film will have Zordon appear in his more traditional floating head in a tube form as seen in the television series or if the film will take a more standard approach and have him appear in his human form. With a talent such as Cranston on board for the role, I imagine they'll want to utilize him as much as possible. Cranston is no stranger to the Power Ranger franchise, either, as it's well known that he provided the voice for two villains in the original 1993 television series, Twinman and Snizard.
Excited to play #Zordon in the #PowerRangersMovie! T or F: #BlueRanger Billy Cranston was named after what actor? https://t.co/d3ltjpcDKb
