As Ludacris gears up for the release of his eighth studio album, "Ludaversal," the rapper set out to perform a few classics at the Bonnaroo Music Arts Festival on Friday night (June 8). Ludacris blazed through his hour-long set, performing hits such as, "Area Codes," "What's Your Fantasy," "Act a Fool" and more. Ludacris released his album's first single, "Jingalin'," which samples LL Cool J's "Jingaling Baby" just in time for his travels to Tennessee. "I took the sample straight to him [LL Cool J]. He loved it. He said, 'Go ahead, live. Make sure you get your money," Ludacris told Billboard.com. "That historic song, 'Jingaling,' we re-done that thing in a whole, all new 2012 type of vibe," Ludacris continued. While working on "Ludaversal," Ludacris is also working on another sequel to the infamous "Fast & Furious" film series and collaborating with other artists, such as Justin Bieber. "We're here to make history again with a new song, 'All Around the World,' that's on Justin Bieber's new album. He's getting older, he's' growing into manhood stage and his songs are reflecting that," Ludcaris said of Bieber. "So it's a good thing." |
