Casey Fallen is reminiscent of the 80’s to early 90’s which is great for me since I loved a lot of the music that came from that era. From the hushed and gentle tones of My Bloody Valentine and Mazzy Star to the sensitive delivery of Elliott Smith, vocals on the album go down pretty smooth with the melancholy lyrics.

Sound wise the band mixes it up. I’m reminded of bands like Deitiphobia and Nitzer Ebb to The Sundays and The Smiths to even The Cure and New Order. It’s all right there for me, bringing me back to when I was a kid.

If you loved that era and you’ll really get a kick out of Casey Fallen, a two man delivery of nostalgia with a current feel. I highly suggest checking them out. Enjoy.
