Air (Night Version)

Ducky is a producer, vocalist, and beat-master that is based in New York City, but was originally from San Francisco, California. She has been making music since she was 13 years old and she has performed alongside Lil B and Danny Brown. In addition, she released “The Whether EP” and she has recently just released her new singled entitled, “Air.” She feels like a more melodic and vocal version Kreyshawn without all the gimmicks. Ducky has a lot of potential to be successful and make it in the competitive male dominated music industry.

I think she has a great voice and sounds like a great singer, but would have liked to hear more vocal range to fully showcase her talents on the single. The beat on “Air” was catchy, but ended up being a bit redundant after 2 minutes. Ducky sounded a bit out of her element on this song, but I think she would sound great on any other beat that wasn’t as dance-infused. I think she is better than Kreyshawn, but not as polished as Skylar Grey. Improving her lyrics would also help her out even more because they felt juvenile on this song. However, she has piqued my interest in her and can’t wait to see what she releases next. For those reasons, I am giving “Air” a “C-.”
