It’s no surprise that Judd Apatow has another comedy coming out being the second this year. Now I would say that he is being quite quick on the film and that quality is better than quantity but he seems to be getting both down quite nicely.  Jason Segel plays Peter Bretter, the long time boyfriend of Sarah Marshall played by Kristen Bell. After 5 years of so called happiness, Sarah breaks things off and Peter is thrown into this downward spiral of loneliness and depression. Struggling to forget her, he decides to take a trip to Hawaii to get a change of scenery only to run into Sarah and here newly acquired boyfriend, Aldous Snow. There week long experience at the same hotel lends itself to some hilarious situations and characters.

Oh were to begin. This film is filled with so many hilarious moments that you will have to watch it a second time just to hear everything you missed the first from all the laughing. Judd Apatow pushes the limits of comedy and brings something that is full of surprises and humor. With a large cast including Mila Kunis, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, and others; there are plenty of great moments. The story itself is all excellent, including some emotional moments along the way. Be wary though, this being a film not for everyone. There is plenty of language and sexual humor along with some very shocking full frontal male nudity.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is something worth seeing in theaters. With a great plot and hilarious jokes, it will have you laughing uncontrollably. It’s no Superbad but it is quite close. It just goes to show that if something isn’t broken, then don’t fix it as Apatow continues with comedy after comedy.
