Jeremy Spencer is best known for being an original member of Fleetwood Mac. In addition to being a part of such a successful band, Jeremy is also a very talented blues guitarist and Rock n’ Roll hall of famer. He has also already released several solo albums and is set to release his latest project, “Coventry Blue,” on April 15, 2014. His musical influences include Buddy Holly and Mark Knopfler.

It is hard to deny that Jeremy is a talented guitarist and an excellent blues musician. His talents are properly displayed all over this album. The only issue is that it would have been nice to see that there was more to Jeremy Spencer than average singing skills and guitar play. His lyrics were memorable, but were a rare commodity on this album. Also, as much as I loved the instrumentals, the whole album felt like one long song that went on forever.

If you are looking for a good blues instrumental album, “Coventry Blue” is the perfect album for you. However, if you are looking for something with a little more content or variety, you might want to look elsewhere. Jeremy is the master of his guitar and he does it so well, but I wanted more from him on this album. For those reasons, I am giving this album a “C+.”
