Kick-Ass 2: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Kick-Ass 2 is a high dose of adrenaline and the official soundtrack does its best to mirror the action on screen with tracks pulled straight from the film as well as others that fit the aesthetic. If you’ve seen the film, you know it’s filled with over-the-top violence taken straight from the pages of the comic book. The soundtrack provides that same adrenaline rush you’d expect.

Some songs, like “Motherquake” by DJ Fresh and “Nobody Move” by Hanni El Khatib, are directly from Kick-Ass 2’s fight scenes and have an upbeat tempo. The soundtrack also includes the tracks “Pussy Drop” and “Dance” that played during the infamous cheerleading tryouts scene. There’s a good variety of music included on the album, from hip-hop to electronica. Even “Korobeiniki,” more commonly known as the Tetris theme song, is on it.

If you liked the film, you’ll no doubt enjoy the soundtrack as well. While there’s no single track that specifically screams Kick-Ass 2, save for maybe the credits song “Hero,” and yet it complements the film well.
