When the owner of Full Steam magazine (J.K. Simmons; Spider-Man) is beaten, once again, by a rival publication at awards season, he steals their Editor (Peri Gilpin; Frasier). This, of course, puts the boys on edge as they begin working on their first impressions, hoping if they land their chance they can avoid being fired.

In the chaos that ensues Gibbs ends up becoming the geek, Neal becomes the office cool guy (with tact), Milo is caught in some pretty interesting scenario’s that will have you rolling, and Tyler is more interested in trying not to get rolled by a writer he dated at the competing publication then worrying about the new editor. Gilpin simply waltzes in-between scenes with the confidence and quality you’d expect from an actress coming from so many quality productions. What a fantastic addition to the show.

Any worries I had about the show at the beginning of the season seems to be put at ease after each episode. This particular episode was outrageously hilarious. I can’t say it was all Gilpin, the writing here was pretty good. Milo trapped in an elevator with his shoe had to have been the funniest story arc in the history of the show so far and Gibbs losing his mojo, priceless. Probably the least favorite character on the show for me, Neal, even gets a lot of laughs as he tries to hang on to his new found cool for as long as he can with his strategy that puts him in a lot of hilarious scenes. If for any reason who haven’t already seen an episode of the show, this would be the one I would suggest catching if you plan to.
