Sengoku Basara goes down as one of my all time favorite video game based anime’s ever put together. The series is a mish mash of fact based scenarios from the feudal Japan era in contrast with the characters from the video game of the same name, and man are these characters fleshed out.

Rivalries, betrayals, alliances and victories. It was an absolutely breathtaking series with its perfect HD presentation made even more immersive with its fine use of sound. I’m proud to own the Limited Edition box set that came out before this season 1 & 2 collection, as well as the missing piece from this new set, The Last Party, the end all closer for the series.

Mind you, this set has all of the same content as the Limited Edition box set which had the season one and season two sets sold separately, sans the limited edition box that houses both, but all the bonus features are there and both seasons come on both Blu-Ray and DVD.
