Shrek the Third (BLU-RAY)

Shrek the Third

On Blu-Ray:
Tuesday, November 13, 2007
Running Time:
93 Minutes

(Not very) arguably the least successful and the least creative of the Shrek franchise, this one has a lot to live up to being the first of the movies to be release on a high def format.  Why there is not trilogy release on HD is beyond me but that’s a different issue.

It’s hard for a CGI movie to NOT look good in high def and Shrek the Third doesn’t fail to live up to that.  The Pixar movies have been a little better on the BD format but this one is higher quality in both sound and picture than most releases on either format.

”Lost scenes”, some games and a bunch of featurettes that aren’t overly entertaining but will probably keep your kids entertained for another hour or more.

A great release for kids. Unfortunately, most kids aren’t quire messing around with expensive high def equipment quite yet so it kind of goes to waste at the moment.  The quality is great but, you may want to wait a minute for the trilogy release, whenever that may be.
