Spongebob Squarepants has become very popular over the years, enough so that the cartoon has spawned now 2 movies as well as so much more merchandise and other specials. However, it's not a cartoon that I watch but it is one that I've seen and know the basic idea about. That idea would be that Spongebob Squarepants is one happy character that gets himself into a lot of situations, some good, some bad, but he does so with an attitude that is always chipper. He will always help out his friends, he will take care of his pet snail (that meows), and working at the Crusty Crab is the best job ever. All this is done underwater by the way, where everything you would think should be, like having water pour while already in water, well that is just normal in the world of Spongebob.
Here on this 3 disc DVD pack, it's Spongebob Squarepants “10 Happiest Moments” and they are pretty cheerful moments. Like Spongebob and his best friend Patrick getting to meet their heroes and when Spongebob gets his job at the Crusty Crab. So if you are already a Spongebob Squarepants fan then you will most assuredly like this DVD set. Though the title might only say 10 but this set clocks in at 289 minutes worth of silliness and laughter. Are these the happiest moments in Spongebob's life? I wouldn't know since I don't watch the show but from what I saw of these episodes, there are some fun times to be had in the underwater world he lives in.
I get the appeal of this cartoon, it is fun, it is funny, and that theme song is just way too catchy. In fact I've been singing it as I type out this review and can't seem to get it out of my head. This show just amazes and dumbfounds me with all the stuff that happens. Everything seems to go against the natural order of things, which is the point of the show. It's crazy and it thrives on this craziness. For kids, this pack will be awesome, especially with having all the back to back episodes to watch but for me it got a little bit too much of the Spongebob lifestyle. Still, it's fun, it's lighthearted, and any family that wants to find something that they feel safe showing their kids that the kids will enjoy, that's this DVD set.
