“Suits” is a lawyer drama that can usually be seen on the USA Network. They will soon be releasing their entire second season with lots of bonus footage and extras over 4 DVDs. If you've never seen the show before, it is about a Hotshot NYC Lawyer, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), who hired a new associate, Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), last season. Mike has a wealth of knowledge about the law, but he also a secret that might be the demise of his career. To find out what the secret is, you are going to have to watch the show.

At first glance, I thought this was an interesting premise for a show, but was disappointed after watching a couple episodes. There really isn't too much that sets “Suits” apart from other lawyer dramas on TV today. I do admit the 1st episode did have its fair share of shake-ups and bombshells, but the rest of the season was fairly boring and filled with “1st world problems” that most would find difficult to relate to. The music throughout the show is not too bad, but nothing too spectacular to remember in detail.

With the exception of the feisty Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres), the rest of the cast is fairly bland and easily forgettable. The worst character of the whole show is the brown nosing and irritating Louis (Rick Hoffman). Besides constantly overacting in each episode, he has a face that makes it seem like he just smelled someone passing gas. He is one character that should never be on the show because Louis does not add any value to the show. As for Harvey and Mike, as handsome as they are, their bromance is questionable and their acting is average at-best.

Growing up watching lawyer dramas with my mom, two things you expect to see are lawyers and drama. For “Suits,” there is an overabundance of lawyers and lots of unnecessary drama that just gets in the way. I tried to see the good in this show, but couldn't as hard as I tried. For me, this show is a total skip and I suggest you watch the other good shows in this same genre instead. For those reasons, I am giving “Suits: Second Season” a “D+.”
