TMNT: FINAL SHOWDOWN
After all their training and the many fights they have been in, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will face off against their toughest foes. Both the Kraang and the Shredder are going after the brothers wanting to eliminate them for their meddling. Having to go up against enemies that they have fought before and some new ones, the turtles are going to be put through some of their hardest fights. The world is at stake and it's up to Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello to make sure the bad guys don't win the day but can they?

THE BROTHERS IN A HALF SHELL
Ultimate Showdown is the last 12 episodes of season 1 for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Ok it's really 13 episodes because the last episode "Showdown" has 2 parts that's being counted as 1 show on the DVD but is really 2. Season one comes to an end as the guys have to stop the Kraang from opening an alien portal where they will change the Earth's atmosphere. If the Kraang are successful then they will turn everyone on the planet into mutants so they can live on the planet themselves. It's the toughest battle that the brothers will have in these last episodes and it shows.

I've been watching this series from the start and as the season went on I liked it more and more. The characters are all growing, learning, and becoming better at their ninja skills. Though Donnie still has his crush on April who is living with them and is being trained by Master Splinter now. April is also now getting a bigger role in the end of the series as we learn that the Kraang has a need for April but she don't know why she is so special. This is just one of the many reasons why this show is so good, great character development. Rather than just showing the characters doing the same thing over and over again or just having some lesson for them to learn, there's reasons why they do what they and they become better because of it.

What I can't leave out though is the fighting, after all this is the show about mutant ninjas and that means lots of fights. This show is action filled from the start to the end where I just can't get enough of it. I'm also impressed with how the show kept a good focus on the plots of each episode making them stay connected to the main story that is leading to the end of the season with them having to go up against the Kraang and even Splinter getting in a fight with Shredder. Even though this is a television show on DVD it could easily be watched like it was a very long movie. That's how the shows connect with each other. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as always delivers a great show with lots of fun moments and even a few moments that are a little more emotional than expected. It has stellar artwork being used where the show flows smoothly. There's also some fun special features with the DVD as well as a mini comic book to read. This is a great season ending DVD for the series that made for a lot of fun and enjoyment in watching.
