Light year’s better than Warner Bros.’ weak and overrated Happy Feet, the less successful Surf’s Up was definitely dealt the short-end of the stick on popularity but the…large end of the stick on quality, if that’s a term.

Quality:
Not to keep ripping on Happy Feet, but this is a much better presentation than any of the Happy Feet transfers I have seen. The CGI is not as good as it’s penguin counterpart but the quality of the script and the sound more than make up for any of it’s graphical shortcomings.

Bonus Features:
The most I have ever seen on a 1-disc set, even rivaling some of the 2-disc Blu-Rays I have seen. A new animated short, a pinball game, deleted scenes, music video, making-of, commentary, featurettes and more.

Overall:
A great movie and a hallmark presentation. The video quality could stand a little tweaking before it’s transfer, but the sound is magnificent and the bonus features are plentiful.
