The Fleeting Ends are probably the textbook definition of what an indie rock band is supposed to be. Their buzz was built entirely on local radio and shows throughout their native Philadelphia. The trio has channeled their unique talents into their first full-length album, Our Eyes Are Peeled, and for all accounts the album is good. It’s a fun album by most accounts, and it’s a really good way for this band to introduce itself to anyone who missed their earlier EP.

Our Eyes Are Peeled runs 11 tracks with no filler. The songs all blend together well, which proves a good thing for the overall flow of the album. Everything has an upbeat feel, which makes this album feel like a throwback to college radio in the late 90s, which is a great thing.

Is this album perfect, no, but it’s pretty good. If nothing else, it’s a fun listen, and it sounds like it could lead to major exposure for this trio from Philly with the not so angry sounding music.

Grade: C+: it’s a fun listen, but that may be all you get from it.
