The Truman Show

In 1998-99, 2 movies were set to come out with similar premises, at least at first.  One, the sure to be hit EdTV starring Matthew McConaughey and directed by Ron Howard.  The second, The Truman Show, starring the floundering Jim Carrey and directed by the relatively unknown Peter Weir.  But, with EdTV bringing in $34 million worldwide and Truman bringing in $264 million, it was clear which had more appeal.

QUALITY:
Great.  There are moments that it gets grainy but overall it is a great experience.

The Truman Show has always been one of my favorite Jim Carrey movies and one of his best performances.  The blu-ray transfer is near brilliant but the special features fall short.  I would highly recommend picking this one up.
