Trout Fishing In America is comprised of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet, a duo who have been writing and performing music for over 35 years. Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers is their latest offering which features 12 tunes that cover silly themes such as tongue twisters, the mind of a cat, imaginary places, and more.

It’s not hard to believe that after 37 years of performing together this duo has put together some amazing music and some incredibly humorous lyrics with masterful pronunciation and clear vocal deliveries with almost impossible verses. Trust me, you’ll want to sing along to the albums title song, and for a second you’ll think you can, but you won’t be able to. Still, it’s a blast trying.

The kiddies are going to love this album, as will the parents. I particularly enjoyed Creepy Dead Bug which reminded me of the old Baby Bumblebee song. Its Not Mud came off to me like a kid version of Zappa’s Don’t Eat The Yellow Snow, and My Sister Kissed Her Boyfriend is reminiscent of tunes you’d find on a Mr. Nicky Album. It’s all just goofy fun played by masterful musicians. A grade A kids album.
