Soulja Boy The DeAndre Way is a hip/hop ablum with 14 tracks on it that is out now in stores. The style on this album is a dance hip/hop beat to it with I think a hint of gangster feel to it. Can it be called music? In my opinion not really. There are at some points in the songs a semi beat there but for the most part it’s a lot of different sounds being played and then put together.

A lot of the songs sound chaotic in what is being played. It sounded like that Soulja Boy had heard a beat on some other song, thought it was good, then he had that one sound put in the song. Only he did this with a lot of different sounds. Now instead of having a smooth sounding song with beats that flow together making a good grooving song to dance to it just sounds like noise with some vocals behind it. Every song has a synthesized sound to it. Did any of these songs actually make it through the mixer without being changed nearly completely? I doubt it, I doubt if they would want anyone to even hear the actual sound with no changes being made, especially the vocals.

Those vocals are even worse than the beats being played. I think that Soulja Boy has potential of being a decent singer, if he only could get away from the synthesized mix being done to his voice and that same rhythm he sings to. The rhythm to the songs being done is almost like a old fog horn but not as loud and with a little more flow to it. What I mean is the vocals will go up some then down, up down, it’s all the same through out every song. I got really bored with this beat and sound being done here.

Then there are the lyrics to be heard. Some are actually tough sounding but with that chaotic sound behind them I couldn’t enjoy them. The rest of the time it just sounds like Soulja Boy is saying he’s the best and baddest guy around for both girls and for guys not to mess with him. It seems like this is his own biography he has given himself but he’s trying to inflate his ego and make others seems impressed with him. All it did is for me is annoy me and bore me. One or two songs is fine but after that it becomes old, I don’t care if you can get any girl you want, you’ve already told me that in the other 5 songs, give me the last 5 songs talking about something else. Oh wait he does by saying he can take out anyone. How original, not! That’s right I threw out that old cliché saying and it fits here because that’s what The DeAndre Way is, cliché.
