Title: A Serious Man Edition: BLU-RAY Genre: Drama Starring: Michael Stuhlbarg, Richard Kind, Fred Melamed, Aaron Wolff Director: Joel and Ethan Coen Studio: Universal Runtime: 106 Minutes Release Date: February 9, 2010 Format: BLU-RAY Discs: 1 MPAA Rating: Rating: ( )Grade: A+ Quite possibly the most boring of the Coen Brothers films A Serious Man translates like a math problem (aptly). A look at the complexities of life and the idea that we have no control over the way things turn out. Problem is that the film is quirky as if it wants to be a comedy but fails but also comes on as a drama which is pushed into neutral territory due to the slight comedic aspect. Simply a badly executed film. QUALITY: BONUS FEATURES: Try as they might to explain the reason they made this film it doesn’t change anything. Its still quite a boring film. I watched this feature to maybe gain some insight hoping to get a better grasp on what they were trying to do with the film. Nothing. Creating 1967 - Take a tour of the Minneapolis neighborhoods and the set pieces used in the film. Hebrew and Yiddish For Goys - Unravel the mysteries of the Hebrew and Yiddish languages.
