Title: Emerson Lake & Palmer: Live at Montreux 1997 Genre: Live Music Studio: Eagle Rock Entertainment Runtime: 91 mins Release Date: June 21, 2010 Format: BLU-RAY MPAA Rating: Rating: ( )Grade: B I’ll go ahead and get it out of the way: I’m not an ELP fan and I’ve actually never really listened to them (aside from possibly an accidental listen on the radio). But I know that they have quite a following, especially evident from the crowd on this DVD. As the title suggests, this is a live show from the Montreux Jazz festival in ’97. Even though I’m not a fan, I can see how someone could be. And I’d be willing to bet that ELP fans will love this release. BONUS FEATURES: None. Nada. Zilch. Zero. From the menu, you can select the whole program or individual songs. I really don’t either of those can count as special features. Overall, not a bad live show if you’re an ELP fan. I gotta dock it a few points for simply failing to have any special features. That’s pretty disappointing, even as someone who’s not a fan. But the concert itself is obviously the centerpiece…and it’s as solid as they get. |
