Title: Friday the 13th (2009) Edition: Killer Cut Genre: Horror Starring: Derek Mears, Jared Padalecki, Arlen Escarpeta, Danielle Panabaker, Ben Feldman Director: Marcus Nispel Studio: New Line Runtime: 106 Minutes Release Date: June 16, 2009 Format: BLU-RAY Discs: 2 MPAA Rating: Rating: ( )Grade: A+ PRUDISH? Producer Michael Bay walked out in the movie premiere, stating that the movie featured too much sex. First, let me start by saying that I just got a new TV so it may take me a little while to get used to the new digs. I got a Samsung Luxia LED television so, at the moment, everything is looking pretty good but I will do my best. QUALITY: BONUS FEATURES: The bonus features are all in high definition though some of the interviews are obviously not shot on an HD camera. The trivia track is a bit sporadic and not as entertaining as it could have been as I would rather have trivia related to how this movie has taken cues from past Friday the 13th movies. The "7 Best Kills" featurettes are the best, showcasing behind the scenes looks at some of the most gruesome moments in the film. With 3/4 of this movie being dark, I was expecting a lot of graininess but, to my delight, you don't get any at all in what is probably one of the best "night time set" blu-rays I have seen to date.
