OSOMBIE:
It was a clandestine mission to rid the world of one of the most wanted terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Everything went down as planned and the Special Forces unit was able to complete their mission by killing Bin Laden. At least that is what was told had happened but one man just don't believe the stories and has went on his own secret mission to Afghanistan to find the truth. After being missing for a while, Dusty (played by Eve Mauro) goes after her conspiracy theorist brother fearing terrorists have caught him. What she does find when she gets to Afghanistan is a secret mission being conducted by a group of Special Forces soldiers who are hunting down zombies instead of terrorists. Now she and the team must survive the dangers of being killed by a terrorist or a zombie.

ZOMBIE TERRORIST:
Really, have the zombie movies come so far now that the only idea for one is this? I've seen some pointless and stupid movies in my day but Osombie takes the cake. Lets start with the fact that this is supposed to be a zombie movie but there's barely any flesh eating action taking place. Throughout the movie there are moments when the zombies do what they should be doing, appearing out of nowhere in hoards to eat the living or turn the living into a zombie with a bite. Instead when I was expecting to zombies everywhere all I got were the army guys walking around taking pot shots at a few zombies in the distance. I figured with this being a low budget zombie movie I was going to get a lot of fake blood spurting and squirting out of all the people being ate but I've seen more blood on a soap opera.
Then there's the plot of having the brother looking for Osama because he thinks he's still alive. Like it's just that easy to go wondering around in a country that's still at war and now with zombies while being alone. Though I didn't really care about why he was over there or how he was able to stay alive for so long by himself but what did get on my nerves was the fact of that part of the plot just being there. One minute I'm watching a movie that's about Osama turning himself into a zombie, getting away, and now the military guys are going around killing all the zombies that are alive. The next thing I know I was watching a movie about a sister looking for her brother before these two plots gets jammed together to be one movie. Maybe if it didn't feel like the two plots where introduced already in the middle of the story and then getting put together to be one plot I would have enjoyed it more. But it wasn't and I didn't.

It's not a completely horrible movie, there are still zombies, there's still some excitement, and even some killing of zombies but there's not enough to make it good. When watching zombies movies I want to jump because I wasn't expecting a zombie to appear out of nowhere to eat that person, but Osombie just rambles on with very little excitement or action. There's too much dialog going on in this movie for it to be a zombie movie and it's boring dialog. They try to make the military guys all tough but they come across like someone trying act tough but are just annoying and stupid. What few special effects are used is very low budget CGI that didn't make any of the deaths look remotely realistic. It's almost like there was a zombie, a gun shot, some red splatter, then no more zombie. When there are up-close shots it's over too quick to notice anything, which I guess don't matter that much because it is so quick. On the up side, there is a ninja sword being used.

BLU RAY ZOMBIES:
The Blu Ray wasn't any more impressive than the movie, not that I was expecting it to be. Though it's not a bad looking movie as far as the quality of the picture goes. Osombie has a ok picture to it with little grain in the shades and dark areas but it wasn't as sharp as a Blu Ray movie could be. This has a look of a better quality DVD would with just sharp enough to make you notice a difference but it doesn’t have stunning look.
