In the spirit of all 80’s hormone induced college films Spring Break brings you, well, spring break. While the film does have a story based at its center its still just another exploitive mess of sexuality and cheap thrills. Think One Crazy Summer without the cool animation, John Cusack, and its dirtier.

First off there is no one in this picture that might ring any bells except for maybe 1982 Penthouse Pet of the Year Corrine Alphen, and even then you’d had to have had your nose buried in the magazine back then if you remember her at all. The plot goes, two college kids, one looking for a good time, the other looking to escape his controlling step-father, head to Ft. Lauderdale for Spring Break. While at their hotel they overhear that the place is in trouble and the owner is getting pressed to sell. As you might have guessed it fun wins out and in the process all ends well, for mostly everyone. Yet another coming of age adventure for the keggers.

Directed by Sean S. Cunningham (Friday the 13th) and starring David Knell, Perry Lang, and a bunch of other people you’ve probably never heard. To be fair Knell and Lang both have a huge television based legacy, but, lets be honest, no one knows that. No bonus features, nothing to separate this film from the slew of other 80’s college flicks either. Either you remember it and you love it or you don’t and you discover it. Enjoy.
