The Step Up films have never been praised for their average storylines or even the acting for that matter. What the films do exceed at is dance, and Step Up 3 is no different.

Moose (Adam Sevani) has graduated from MSA and is about to begin the rest of his life at New York University. There he stumbles upon a group of dancers, each with their own unique talents. Despite his promise to quit dance, he joins up with Luke (Rick Malambri) and the rest of the crew as they attempt to win the World Jam and the $100,000 prize.

QUALITY:
The dance moves are some of the craziest and over the top visuals you'll see on screen. The fact that they're real only intensifies its effect. With Step Up 3, the choreographed dances go beyond the fancy footwork. Water flooding the stage, crazy light shows, and other visual effects are present throughout. The film is probably the most vibrant of the series yet, and it all looks spectacular on Blu-ray.

Step Up 3 also features scenes specifically geared towards 3D. While I'm sure they were cheesy watching in 3D, they're even worse watching in 2D. The special effects simply look so fake, especially the whole ICEE scene. You'll know what I'm talking about when you watch it.

BONUS FEATURES:
Born From A Boombox: A Luke Katcher Film, Extra Moves, Deleted Scenes, Music Videos, and Making of the Music Videos.

The bonus features are all presented in enhanced widescreen format. It's not HD but close enough that you can't really tell the difference. They're basically much of the dancing without all that plot. So in other words, they're pretty awesome.

Step Up 3 has the same romance/competition storyline that the previous two films had but it manages to impress with its slick dance moves and visuals. If you're a fan of dance, then you'll love this movie.
