Taking the story from the movie “10 Things I Hate About You” you join sisters Bianca and Kat as they start a new school. Bianca sets her sights on popularity, being a cheerleader, and ruling the school. Kat fights for the injustices of the world, scoffing at how everyone else conforms, and having no desire to be popular. But while they may be as different as night and day they both face the difficulties of high school, boys, and a strict father which often helps them pull together as sisters should.

First loved the movie, often my family laughs as it very much displays me and my sister and how different we are. But I had my doubts about it being turned into a TV series and on ABC Family nonetheless. But I didn’t hate it. They basically took the story from the movie combating sisters, Patrick Verona & Kat love/hate relationship and the Bianca/Cameron friendship/relationship and extended it. They add in things like popularity challenges, sneaking out, parties, unfair grades, and suspensions when standing up for what you think is right.

What you end up with is a more bubblegum version of the movie that deals with high school “issues” while never taking on anything too deep or serious. There is some comedy as the sisters face of with one another and seeing that it tries to show several different types of clichés that happen in school it can appeal to a larger group of teens. Safe for the whole family while not completely talking down to teens; makes this on the higher average side of sitcoms.
