As humans, we are constantly looking for ways to improve ourselves, both physically and mentally. For many of us, the physically can be taken care of with a quick slice with the knife via plastic surgery. That's where Dr. Sean and Dr. Christian come in with their practice.

The second half of season 5 continues following Sean and Christian's personal and work lives. Sean has been confined to a wheelchair after a stabbing from a former patient while Christian is diagnosed with breast cancer. Then there's also new and interesting patients they help make beautiful each episode.

Nip/Tuck is definitely not for the squeamish. Be prepared for blood...lots of blood. You'll see a variety of plastic surgeries performed in front of the cameras and they are not shy about showing everything. When the doctors are not in the operating room, they're usually busy either fighting amongst each other or having sex with some random chick. Ahh, the life of a plastic surgeon.

The FX show is the sexy equivalent of House M.D. with its unique patient cases. Many of the episodes begin with the consultation in which they two doctors say, "Tell me what you don't like about yourself." Surprisingly, the personal lives of the characters are almost as interesting as the patients they operate on. The bromance between Sean and Christian is actually heartwarming at times.

If you're a fan of hospital dramas, then Nip/Tuck is the perfect late night addition to your probably already filled schedule. It might not be as deep a thinker as the others but it sure is entertaining. Another added bonus is that you don't have to start from the beginning of the series to enjoy it either. It only requires a few episodes to really understand what's going on, if even that.
