THE PRESIDENTS:
History was made when George Washington became the first President in 1789. Over the last 223 years there have been 44 Presidents for the United States, some good, a few bad, and some great. All these men, great or otherwise, they have always captivated the people of the US as well as around the world. For the most part the public gets to see and learn a lot about these men that govern the United States but what’s known is mainly their political life. The personal side to the Presidents has only been given in small glimpses but with the documentary The Presidents new light is shined upon the men that help shape the way the United States is.

223 YEARS OF PRESIDENTS IN 6 HOURS:
This was one of the more interesting documentaries that I’ve seen about the U.S. Presidents in awhile. Most of the time documentaries like this do the typically format by giving information that can be found in history books and/or what’s already known. The Presidents tell a little more about the person life of the Presidents while mixing in the political side. It’s this inside story to the lives of these men that make the documentary interesting. There’s a lot to learn by watching this, enough so that it might take watching it more than just once to be able to remember all the facts that’s told on this 4 disc set.
With 44 Presidents to talk about in this documentary I found that at times I would have liked there to have been more said about certain Presidents. George Washington in particular was a man who did great things for many years making what felt like only mere minutes way too short of a time to get all that I would have liked to seen. Though there are some Presidents that wasn’t the most interesting or didn’t hold the office during significant moments in history, but their stories where still interesting. There was just enough information given on each President to keep me interested in watching. Each episode has a quick pace that I wasn’t too found of even though it helps keep the show from being boring. However, this quick pacing the stories being told about these men are quickly told moving from one to the next while packing in a lot in that little time. Still, it was good to have the added information given on the current President, Obama. Though there is a lot told here I think it would be more suited to casual viewer who wants just enough information to learn some facts.
