Shakugan no Shana

The original concept for Shakugan No Shana was an interesting one, and I use original in the loosest sense of the word. Humans who have had their lives taken by denizens survive as “flames”, remnants of the lost humans survived by their memories and who one day disappear, quite literally, from the hearts and minds of the people who once knew and loved them. Some contain flames and some contain treasure. These are particularly yummy to the monsters that hide in the shadows and for one young man he holds an exceptional prize.
