The first involves the Guardians of the Galaxy, movie and comic. Then there's the new posters for Gotham, Thane will make a come back, and Ultimate Universe ending again or not I'm not sure.

GUARDIANS RULE THE GALAXY OR AT LEAST IMAX:
If you are as eager as I am about seeing the movie Guardians of the Galaxy then you might be interested to know there's going to be a sneak peek of it. Here's the deal, on July 7, 2014, there will be a screening of 17 minutes of 3D footage of the movie at 150 IMAX movie theaters. It's only a one time only, one night only, preview screening, so if you want to see 17 minutes of the movie early you might want to find a IMAX theater that's close to you. If you think that wasn't enough to get you wanting to go watch this preview, it's also FREE. Yes, free, that right there had me but there's still more. There's also going to be a poster given away to those going to see it. WARNING I do not know for sure about the poster so you might want to check ahead of time because I don't want to make people think they are going to get a poster and they don't. I've been there before, there's been movies that supposed to have had a free poster but didn't so just talk to the IMAX theater near you about that.

GUARDIANS OF THE FUTURE GALAXY:
Like all movies based on a comic book, when the movie is released the comic that it's based off of become popular. To supply that popularity the publisher will put out more comics of that comic and Guardians is no exception to this. Dan Abnett will be writing this book that will feature the original team of the Guardians of the Galaxy set in the 31st century. It will have Major Vance Astro, Starhawk, Martinex, Captain Charlie-27, and Yondu as they continue their fight against the Badoon. If you don't know about this team, check out the back-up story in issue #14 of Guardians of the Galaxy that came out 2 months ago. This new book will launch this October by the team of Dan Abnett and Gerado Sandoval on art.

GOTHAM POSTERS:
Gotham is gearing up with new promo posters that show what some of the cast look like. Now I know that this is supposed to be set in Gotham City before Bruce Wayne becomes Batman but I'm not too thrilled with how they've done some characters. First off Poison Ivy is not Pamela Isley, she's Ivy Pepper and she's a little kid. Oswald Cobblepot looks pretty normal, a little emo gothic like, but nothing like a short overweight guy that resembles a penguin, Selina Kyle is normal but considering that she's a teen yet Ivy is a kid, and then the others are more adult. What's going on here with these characters, some adult, some kids, guess it's a good thing this is just a show that won't have any real connection with the comics.

THANE RETURNS:
If you didn't get enough from Infinity then you might want to check out the upcoming release of “Thanos: A God Up There Listening” by Rob Williams, Paco Diaz, Iban Coello, and Neil Edwards. This six issue series will start up this coming Tuesday, that's July 1 for anyone reading this after I post this today (by the way what happened to June?). This story is from the Infinity mini series, that one where it involved a large chunk of the Marvel Universe while also being a cosmic story that brought Thanos to Earth. I'm actually hoping that this book gets print form because it has peaked my interest. Sure the story of Thane gong about finding answers about himself and trying to find out the truth of if he is the son of Thanos is interesting but that's not the story I want to read about. The one I want to read, the reason why I've posted this in my blog, is that there is going to be a story that has Thanos fighting Ego the Living Planet. It's in the past but from the description it sounds like they will have a huge battle and it should be fun to read.

ULTIMATE IS STILL HAVING ISSUES OR NOT:
Did you read the Ultimate story line, Cataclysm? Well, it was supposed to be about the end of the Ultimate Universe and though Marvel kind of did that by canceling all the titles for the Ultimate line, they also relaunched new titles like Miles Morales the Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate FF, and the All-New Ultimates. But now the Ultimate FF is going to be canceled, there's rumors that All-New Ultimates will also get canceled, and that will leave only Spider-Man. Not sure what's going to happen with him, there's a possibility that he will be joining the All-New X-Men in issue #32. There's also that Spider-Verse that will be coming out that might put him in the 616 universe so Miles might be coming to the main universe. Though he kind of already has made an appearance, just look at the one shot special, Spider-Man Spectacular #1 that came out this past Wednesday, Miles makes a cameo in it.
<img alt="" src=" COMIC)

(if you don't get that pic it's for a SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

COVERS THAT LIE TO US:
Being a fanboy there's always something to get excited and happy about as well as having our moments of disappointment and being upset. Well, in this instance I have a little bit of a gripe that I want to talk about in this weeks blog. That would be with covers, not the variants, those have been talked about but this time I mean just regular cover art for the normal issues.
I bring this up because I just finished reading the Guardians of the Galaxy #15 where this is the cover to it.....

Part of the captions that is given to this issue reads, “And now...Captain Marvel”. So take that in, the cover shows Captain Marvel flying in with the team, minus Star Lord, behind her and looking up at her. She has her glowing hands with her powers being used making it look like she is coming to save the day. Add in the past issues where the story has had her go into space to join up with the team and how the team has been separated and taken into custody by different alien races and the conclusion I came to was that this book would be about her being there to start saving the team.
I was very wrong.
At no point does she appear in the pages of this book. NONE! She's only on the cover and that's it. So that's my gripe, covers that basically flat out lie. When reading comics you learn quickly that a cover will mislead and have a scene that is usually not happening in the comic but you also know that the covers convey an idea of what will be happening. Example, Giant Sized Spider-Man #1 came out last week where there are 4 different stories that tell about Peter Parker's/ Spider-Man's first time being a hero and first meetings with Sandman, Vulture, and Doc Ock. Story wise the book wasn't that good, it gives yet another retelling of the same story of Peter getting his powers and a whole lot of repeating the famous phrase of power and responsibility. However, the cover shows Spider-Man on a ledge with Doc Ock creeping up behind him in shadow. Not the exact scene that happens in the book but there is a moment when Doc Ock does creep up on him and Ock is actually in the book.

Having a cover that semi relates to the story with using the same characters that are on the cover is fine, that's what has always been done and matter of fact I rather think it works out best cause who wants to see the same art on the cover and then shown again on a splash page. But, to go so far as showing a character that is not in the book at all and have it captioned with saying that character will be in it, that's just a blatant lie. Sure they do it with variants but a variant cover is a special cover, one that is supposed to be different because it is a variant and made to be different and collected. The main cover, the regular cover, cover A, that's for teasing what's in that particular issue, not to lie about a character that's not going to be in it. Sure she will eventually appear in the book again, maybe with issue #16, but make that one have a cover with her, this one should have been about the team being separated not about someone who's not even in it.

THE WALKING DEAD:
Alright, I've finally started reading the Walking Dead comic again. I finished the first 96 issues that are in the compendiums and read the new story called, “Something to Fear”. I tell you right now Rick has something to fear because if Negan is as bad as he's already been shown then the whole group is in for a lot of pain. Already in the first 3 issues that I read Kirkman does what he does best, shock the reader by killing off not one but 2 of the characters. One of them being a major character that's been with the book since it started and another that's been in it for half it's run (at the point of issue 100 since the book is now at the late 120's).

Even though I did give a spoiler warning at the top I won't say which two characters that are killed only that two of them are and with one it's brutal. If the TV show gets to this point in the book and they do what they did in the book, people will be outraged. Though I got to say I like that Kirkman does this with his book and the characters. Yes it also sucks because I really liked both the characters and want to see more of them, but to have the guts to continue to kill off main characters is a big deal. His book don't bring them back in the same sense as other comics and if he does they are as zombies that have to be killed yet again.

Still, it's refreshing to have a book that will do this with the story so that it doesn't get old. I'm pretty sure no one can say that Kirkman is writing the same stories again and again. Before you say anything let me stop you right there and point this out. Yes, by killing off the characters this is something that's been done but in this world of the undead walking around eating the living there are going to be deaths. Also, the choice of using another villain that seems like past, such as the Governor, might seem similar to Negan, at least right now and in theory, but again, with this kind of world that's going to happen.
This is a world where the dead walk, the meek is not going to inherit this world, hell, even the strong won't, it's going to be the ones that are a combination of evil, strong, and sly. These are the people that will be able to survive in this kind of world because this world is one where people kill and there are going to be evil people killing both the living and dead.

I'm loving this though because the book is keeping me wanting to read it more and more. I'm not sure yet where the plot of Negan being able to make Rick give in to him but I'm looking forward to it. By the covers (lets hope they don't pull what the above topic did) shows me that Negan is going to be around for a few more issues. It also looks like this is going to be a very violent run in the series, which might mean more people are going to get killed off. Well, I'm off to read more, well, after this last topic then I'm off.

BOOKS TO PICK UP:
If you liked the movie Big Trouble in Little China then I think you should pick up the new comic. It just came out so get to your comic shop now to pick it up. The art is pretty decent, but what I liked the most about this first issue was that it picks up directly after the movie ended. So this is not telling some story that will only be related to the movie by the title and main characters, it's actually continuing the movie. So in all regards this is the sequel to the movie and it's started off on a decent foot.
Ok, the writing is mildly good, I think it could have used a little more substance because it's more fun and fluff then anything serious. Then again, the movie was basically similar with it's fun and fluff and very not serious. So in the regards, this book is doing a great job.

Also a few books to check out are all Image books that came out under the Image Firsts. Image has been reprinting some of their titles first issues with a cover price of $1. If you think that they aren't going to be a collector item like the first print of these books you would be wrong. The Walking Dead Image First for a buck came out not too long ago, I missed picking it up, it is now $10 to $15 at comic shops. But at any rate, even if these don't become worth any money, getting to read the first issue for a dollar is a lot better than spending up to hundreds of dollars to get that same issue (granted that's first print), is nice. I got 5 issues today and can't wait to read them, one being a Robert Kirkman book, Theif of Thieves.

<img alt="" src="http://d138hkes00e90m.cloudfront.net/news_images/imagefirsts-banner_PR.jpg" style="width: 500px; Don't know who Jack Burton is? Well, then on June 4, 2014 go to your local comic book shop to pick up issue #1 of Big Trouble in Little China. Yes, they really did and finally made a comic adaptation of the 1986 movie that starred Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall. If you haven't seen this movie then you really need to because it is one of the great 80's flicks and one of Russells best movies. It has it all, a story, mystery, damsel in distress, martial arts, some people that look like they belong in Mortal Kombat, and even romance.

Such a cult classic movie, one that I've loved since seeing it for the first time as a kid, I'm pretty excited about reading this comic version of it. I've been avoiding adding new titles to my list because of just how many I already read and I need to save some money for Dragon Con. However, this is Big Trouble in Little China with Jack Burton, of course I'm going to be picking it up. Better yet, the story will be by John Carpenter and Eric Powell so it should be just like the movie was or even better since they will be able to do so much more with the characters. Only problem, we don't get to see the young and very attractive Kim Cattrall in the comic, her character probably, but the real actress no and that's sad, however that's what the movie is for. So find a comic shop on June 4th and ask where they have the new Boom! comic Big Trouble in Little China on the racks. Oh, and if you like variant covers this one will have 4 of them that I know of.

SUMMER TIME COMICS:
Well, it's finally here, the days of warm (hot) weather, summer storms, but mostly it's the time of year that comics hit their middle ground. Some will have nothing much going on but some will be having new big story lines happening before the year starts to wind down. There are a few of them out there that have peaked my interest and I would think for other people as well. If now here's a few of them to keep an eye out for in the coming months.

BATMAN:
Staring with issue #30, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo have started their final act for the "Zero Year" story that's been running in the core Batman title. This is called the "Savage City" where the Riddler has taken control of Gotham, there's no way in or out without the Riddler knowing, and if the people left in Gotham wants the reign of the Riddler to end all they have to do is tell him a riddle that he can't solve. Considering that he's bested Batman twice so far I don't see this story ending that easily, unless it does come to an end with Batman finally telling the Riddler a riddle he just can't solve.

SUPERMAN DOOMED:
This one is going on right now actually in most of the Superman titles as well as a main title called Superman Doomed. If you can't guess, Doomsday has come back and of course he's fighting SUperman and other heroes. Crossing over into Superman/Wonder Woman, Action, and Superman, this one will run for a few issues, not many, but hopefully enough that we get a decent story out of it.

FUTURES END:
Another DC title that is going to have a following this Summer as it just started up a few weeks ago and is another weekly title for DC Comics. In this story we are supposed to be reading the end of the DC Universe. It has Batman (Terry McGinnis) going back in time to stop Brother Eye from turning the world into it's own cyborg world. It starts off being set 35 years in the future for Prime Earth but then when Terry goes back in time it's set only 5 years into the future of the current run of comics. It's going to run for a full year, so this is going to be going on for a while and will have 51 issues, it's said it's 11 months but it's a weekly title so that's 51 so maybe they have a special one shot end issue to make it a total of 52. Either way, the story should be fun but even with a $2.99 price tag, I will be waiting for this to come out in graphic novel form before I buy it.

ORIGINAL SIN:
Marvel just started this one up where someone has killed the Watcher. In true Marvel fashion they will have this crossing over into multiple titles as well as having a 8 issue limited series for it. If you missed out, you might want to check your comic shop just in case, but with issue #1 Marvel sent out a promo of a eyeball bouncing ball to give out with the comic. I have mine, cause I bought my issue #1, but they are supposed to be the eye of the Watcher, which that's one of the main threads to the story, "who has the Watcher's eye".

PLOTS TO WATCH OUT FOR:
Ok so that's a few of the comics to watch out for but there's also some plots going on in the comics that are just interesting. They will run as a undercurrent right now in the books but they should turn into something more in the future. One such is what came at the end of the limited series Forever Evil that DC Comics just wrapped up. If you don't know the story, alternate versions of the Justice League come to the Prime Earth, take it over, the heroes are missing, and it will take the help of the villains to stop the world from being destroyed. When it does end, there is a big discovery of the identity of one hero by one of the major villains and I'm very interested in seeing how this will pan out in the future.

Another is over in my favorite title, Amazing Spider-Man, as we see that Felicia Hardy aka the Black Cat, is on a revenge kick for what the Superior Spider-Man did to her. Only she believes it was Peter Parker, her Spider, that not only put in her jail but punched her in the face. I can't blame her there, that was not nice but it was Doc Ock doing it so nothing else could have been expected. But what will she doe to Peter? Will she learn that he wasn't the one at fault? Will she even care?

X-Men, which all these titles should be getting a push in sales with the release of the movie X-Men Days of Future Past and how good it is, but the title X-Men is what I'm talking about. This one centers more on the female members of the team, which I"m loving because it has Jubilee in it and she is one of my top five favorite X-Men characters but now she's a vampire and she has a baby named Shogo. That's not the part that's interesting, but it does involve the baby Shogo. Right now I don't know what will take place but it seems like the future where Shogo is no longer a baby, will have him being something major and to keep an eye on. I'm looking forward to finding out more about this kid and as a side note, more about the powers that Jubilee has as a vampire.

If you don't know the name Marco Rudy you should take note because this artist is amazing. I was first introduced to his work on the limited series, Marvel Knights: Spider-Man, where his artwork is not the typical comic style. Each page of his work contains what is needed to get the story across but he adds in style, art, and flair that's not seen too often in comics. He will be doing the artwork for the New Avengers Annual #1 set to come out this June (which starts this Sunday) where Doctor Strange will have to face ancient forces that are more powerful than he is. Even if the story itself ends up being bad, the artwork is enough to make me want this book.

Another one that I'm looking forward to is Savage Hulk #1 coming out in June also. Savage Hulk is the new on going title for the jade giant with a temper problem and it's also supposed to be in-continuity. Kicking off this new series will have the Hulk going up against the X-Men and from the looks of the artwork it looks like it will be the original X-Men. Though that has me thinking, is it in-continuity as far as it being these stories will have happened in the past so it's really set in the past? Or will this be in the present timeline where he is facing the X-Men team from the past that's in the present? I don't know but I'm wanting to find out more.

Tags:

marvel

dc

comics

Big Trouble In Little China

Fri, 30 May 2014 23:43:15 +0000 Lee Roberts 55569 at http://shakefire.com http://shakefire.com/blogs/lee-roberts/2014/05/30/jack-burton-takes-care-of-big-trouble-and-some-comics-to-look-for#comments The Future Ends With 3D Covers and Affleck as Batman http://shakefire.com/blogs/lee-roberts/2014/05/17/the-future-ends-with-3d-covers-and-affleck-as-batman

THE FUTURES END FOR DC:
I'm not talking about the new weekly title that DC started publishing last week, May 7, 2014 (unless you count the free #0 issue that was published on Free Comic Book Day May 3, 2014), called The New 52 Futures End. I will get around to talking about that here in a few weeks after more issues are out but for now I want to talk about the new 3D cover that DC will be doing for all the titles. These will be coming out in September of 2014 and if you have a drop box or hold box, or whatever you shop calls it, to get these covers they are in this months Previews order form, so if you want them you better hurry cause the shops have to have them in soon.

My first concern, will this end up being like last years 3D covers with the villains month? If so is it even worth my time, effort, and money to try to get these covers if all that's going to happen is that some will be shipped in over abundance of while the ones I would want are short so only a few are out there and because of that the day they come out they are already 10 to 20 times the cover price? I'm going to guess that it won't be exactly like last year, this time it will be worse. I say that because last year the covers had villains on them but this year it's the heroes and considering that this is a story that is about the end of the DC Universe, it has a lot of people wanting to read it. I'm one of those people. I had dropped all but my Harley Quinn and core Batman titles, no more Superman, Batgirl, or any of the other many titles I was reading. Well, with this Futures End story I've come back to adding more titles on my list of DC. Well, at least the Futures End title and now I'm going to be adding these one shot issues as well, not all of them, but the main books.

Still, I'm wondering what will happen when these books are released and if they will be as cool as what I've seen online? There are a lot of very cool covers, one of Harley Quinn in the White House, one has Batman with the Riddler, Superman as a possible cyborg, Superman as dust/sand, Aquaman kneeling in chains, Hal Jordan getting pulled into the wall, and so many more. I haven't seen all but enough that I like the ones that I'm seeing. Still, will it be worth all the money that will be spent to get this titles?

FIRST LOOK AT AFFLECK AS BATMAN:
I'm sure by now you've seen the photo of Ben Affleck in the Batman suit standing next to the new Batmobile.

Yep, that photo. As a photo this looks really cool and it looks like a tough Batman, which is not what I was expecting, don't think many people was. I'm glad that they have Affleck looking cool as Batman but this is only a photo and being as such, they can and probably did a lot of photoshopping as well as setting up that particular scene. Yeah it looks good but he's not moving in the photo so will it be as natural when he is? If this is the suit that is used for the movie then how will it look when he's moving? With it be stiff, will the suit bunch up because it's rubber or padded, or will they have it look like a real suit that moves with him? What about when he is just Bruce Wayne? Will Ben Affleck be the right size to pull of looking huge in the Batman suit when he's Bruce Wayne? I really do like the look of this though and the Batmobile looks really cool, at least of what I can see of it.

Tags:

dc

marvel

comics

Batman

Sun, 18 May 2014 02:36:37 +0000 Lee Roberts 55235 at http://shakefire.com http://shakefire.com/blogs/lee-roberts/2014/05/17/the-future-ends-with-3d-covers-and-affleck-as-batman#comments Amazing Free Force That's This Weekend!!!! http://shakefire.com/blogs/lee-roberts/2014/05/01/amazing-free-force-thats-this-weekend

THIS WEEKEND IS GOING TO BE A FUN ONE OR I HOPE SO:

I'm posting my blog a few days early this week because of all that's going on this weekend I didn't want to wait until Friday night where some people might either read it the day later, maybe even later, or they do read it Friday night but it's not enough time to prepare. I've had that happen many times, for both, I've read it late so the events here over or I read it the night before and I didn't have the time to get prepared or just couldn't do anything about it. But because this weekend is actually one that will be a busy one for some and for some that don't know I will give the list of the happenings.

MAY 2 -- FRIDAY
Friday will be the official release day for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie (that is if you wasn't lucky enough to get to go to one of the earlier screenings for the movie held during the week, I wasn't). From what I'm seeing of this sequel it looks like it will be a great one. Because I know there have been screenings I have stopped looking at anything that has the name of Amazing Spider-Man 2 on it for fear of finding out too much. Well, there's really only one piece of information that I'm not wanting to find out until I watch the movie, Gwen (that's all I'll say). There are other things I don't want to know but that is the most important one for me not to know until I see the movie, which I will be watching Friday night at 10PM after I get home from work.

If you haven't decided if you want to go watch this movie, like one person I know said this, "Na, I don't think so cause they already done it so how much more can be said in a remake of a sequel?", and to that I give you my answer. ALOT! Yes, they already did a Spider-Man 2, and you can technically call it a remake considering that there was those other 3 movies, but this is nothing close to those movies. There are the same main charactes of course, Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Aunt May, Harry Osborn, but there are new actors, and new characters that we haven't seen before. Electro looks awesome and looks like he will be giving Spidey a big problem, this Gwen is one that is far different than the one we saw before in the previous Spider-Man 3 movie, and she is far better of a Gwen that is the comic come to life. Rhino is in it, and sure the suit is not the same as the one in the comics we haven't been given a full on look during a battle scene with it so who knows how cool or uncool it will be. This movie is gearing up for what looks like the Sinister Six, which will have some familiar characters but will also be great if done right. And most of all this has such a different look to it than the previous movies that focused on Peter Parker dealing with being Spider-Man and has made these new ones into what the comics do, showing every aspect of Peters life from home with Aunt May to having to be Spider-Man and how it can be fun and painful. I think well worth the time to watch and a whole new movie that just has a character we know.

MAY 3 -- SATURDAY
Saturday is yet another great day for the weekend because it's a day of free comics. Yes, FREE COMICS! I love this day, it happens every year on the first Saturday of May. Just look at this site, http://www.freecomicbookday.com/Home/1/1/27/992 to get all the information you need to know. But let give you some reasons why this is a great day.
First of all FREE COMICS, and lots of them. There's 57 titles that will be given away this year, some that will be hard to get will be the Guardians of the Galaxy, DC's The New 52 Futures End, The Adventures of Jellaby, Rocet Raccoon, Courtney Crumrin, and Zombie Tramp. Not to say these will be the hard to find ones or that some of the other titles end up being so while these are not, but I'm guessing these will be or most will be for a few reasons. One they will be popular so everyone is getting them, and two is that for some comic shops they won't get them. For small town comic shops, the ones that don't order them all then maybe the Zombie Tramp will be passed over because it's an unknown, or maybe becuase it's about a zombie that's a tramp so the shop gets Archie instead or the Guardians. So just be on the outlook and go to your local shop and ask them what ones they ordered so you know in advance what you can expect to get.

Another reason to go is that for some shops they will have more than just free comics. For the larger cities, ones with larger markets, the shops can actually get such stuff as the comemorative t-shirt with the design on it by Skottie Young, posters, hats, polo shirts, wrist bands, bags, magnets, and even some hero clix. Lots of free stuff, huh?
If you think that's the end of the free stuff, it's not, or for most it's not I can't say for all. Every shop I have in my area always has some extra free comics that are not part of the published on Free Comic Book Day comics. There are titles that the shops just want to add to the stack of free stuff you can get on this day. It won't be the comic that just came out and it might not be the most popular comic ever, but it is a free one and if it's one you've never read, who knows it might be a new favorite.

It's not all though with the comics and merchandise, there's guests that appear. Ok, the guests might not be at all the shops, usually only one shop has artists and creators of comics at the shop but there are other people that can appear. At one here the 501st appear, you know those Storm Troopers that are Darth Vaders elite squad, and if you have the money and time to build your own Storm Trooper suit you might be able to join the club. But there are all kinds of people that can show up, just find your shop, call/stop in, and ask them if anyone is going to be there.
And the most important part, FREE COMICS!
There is a way on the site for Free Comic Book Day for you to find out if a shop near you is holding the event. Make sure you check if you don't know because it's held at comic book shops, you won't be able to walk into a book store and walk out with free comics, legally at any rate. It's a great day for anyone that loves comics or wants to help get new people interested in them and I for one can't wait for Saturday.

MAY 4 -- SUNDAY
May the Fourth be with you. No I didn't make a type-o there, I meant to say fourth instead of force. May 4th has become known as Star Wars day, if you can't guess why well now you can by just reading my first 6 words of this section again. What will make this day so important? Other than it being Star Wars day? Well, there is this small thing called Episode VII that's going to be filmed and admidst the rumors that this film has generated this might be the day of news. From what I've read and found online, May 4, 2014 will be a day of some big news for Episode VII.
What will this day of news be?

Will we finally got an official annoucment on Tuesday April 29, 2014, that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker will be back in their famous roles. Now here is the cast so far, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. But who are these other people that will be among the greats?
John Boyega was in Attack the Block as Moses, on Becoming Human as Danny Curtis, and the new 24: Live Another Day as Chris Tanner.
Daisy Ridley was in the TV series Casualty as Fran Bedingfield, Youngers as Jessie, and Silent Witness as Hannah Kennedy.
Adam Driver has a longer list of titles but notable features such as Lincoln as Samuel Beckwith and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as jason Roberts (hey I like that last name).
Oscar Isaac was in Robin Hood (the 2010 version) as Prince John and Sucker Punch as Blue Jones.
Andy Serkis might not be a well known name but his face and his role he played are, Gollum on Lord of the Rings. He has also done a lot of voice acting.

Domhnall Gleeson is an actor who I now like from his role in About Time as Tim but he was also in a pretty famous 8 movie series Harry Potter as Bill Weasley (though he only was in part 1 and 2 of Deathly Hollows.
Max von Sydow is a very famous actor who has a very long career as an actor and has been in many roles from small to huge, such as Emperor Ming on Flash Gordon, King Osric on Conan the Barbarian, Ghostbusters 2 as the voice of Vigo, Needful Things as Leland Gaunt, Minority Report as Director Lamar Burgess, and one of my most favorite roles and first introduction to him as an actor Brewmeister Smith in The Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Strange Brew.
That is the cast as of right now, which can change by the time I post this considering that about 5 minutes after I first wrote and saved this blog I talked about how there was not cast, only rumors, and that it might be the cast being released on May 4th but then 5 minutes later I get a text from my friend Matt (someone who can be a library on Star Wars with his knowledge) telling me the cast was released. And with that I went about retyping out this part of my blog for the update but there is still supposed to be more news on Sunday May 4th but what will it be?

I don't know but I'm very eager to find out what news will be released for May Fourth but I also like it just because it's Star Wars day. Check out some things around your area to see if they are doing anything, you might be surprised what you might find. Like I know on May 23 the Charlotte Knights has Star Wars night (yes I have my tickets) so it's plausable to think that that maybe another team is having a Star Wars day on Star Wars day (not the Knights, they are out of town), I think that the Durham Bulls will be dressed as R2-D2. I would bet that the local 501st has something planned, so if you made it out to Free Comic Book Day and you saw some Storm Troopers, go up, ask them, hey what are you doing tomorrow on May Fourth? If you are around a Disney store (maybe not all cause I don't know) but some stores will have events going on for the kids. Check out Amazon for some discounts on some Star Wars items. But just look it up and who knoew what you might find that's going on.

<div
