Like Sorkin’s SPORTS NIGHT, Studio 60 On the Sunset Strip suffered from one intolerable thing; a lack of audience. Despite a promising premise, deadpan writing and excellent acting, the show just didn’t have a wide enough appeal to draw people in. Very much a re-has of Sorkin’s own Sports Night set in the world of a Saturday Night Live-type show instead of a SportsCenter type, Studio 60 had all the makings of a stellar award-winning show.
