I reviewed this movie when it hit theaters (click on the movie's name above).  I did watch Slither again this time on DVD and enjoyed it more than the first time. But I still hold true to thinking that they under-used Nathan Fillion. Even with that though I had to give it a higher grade on DVD because this is one of the better non-special super duper 4th time released director’s cut. Nope this is just your standard release complete with all the bonus features you could hope for.

We will start off with the standard type stuff. There are 8 deleted scenes with optional director commentary, 4 extended scenes with optional director commentary, “The Sick Minds And Slimy Days of Slither” which is a making of, and commentary by director James Gunn and actor Nathan Fillion which is pretty funny at times. The gag reel is mostly flubbed lines and laughing; but further into it gets better. For fans of gore cult movies you have “The King Of Cult” (Lloyd Kaufman’s video diary), “The Gorehound Grill: Brewin’ The Blood” (learn how to make fake blood with household items), “Bringing Slither’s Creatures To Life” (a look at the effects), and “Visual Effects Step By Step” (do you need me to tell you what this is?). And now for the Nathan Fillion fans. “Who Is Bill Pardy?” which has the cast and crew making fun of Nathan and “Slithery Set Tour with Nathan Fillion”. See what I mean? When was the last time that you saw a first release of a DVD this complete with bonus features?
