Latest ‘Stranger Things 4’ Trailer Introduces Terrifying New Villain

Written by Matt Rodriguez

A war is brewing between our world and the Upside Down in the latest trailer for Stranger Things 4. Just released by Netflix, the trailer shows just how far the cast has cover over the last four seasons and teases a terrifying new villain who appears to be the one in charge of the Upside Down and everything that has been happening.

“You’ve broken everything,” says a mysterious voice at the beginning of the trailer. “Your suffering is almost at an end.” Despite Eleven and the Byers family moving from Hawkins at the end of Season 3, danger still follows them. A war is on the horizon and Eleven could be the key to winning it.

As we discussed back in February, Season 4 of Stranger Things will be released in two parts due to its massive scale. Vol. 1 is set to premiere next month on May 27th followed by Vol. 2 on July 1st. It was also revealed that the show will be ending with a fifth and final season.

Every ending has a beginning. “It’s time,” exclaims the mysterious voice once more. “You have lost.”

It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.
