Zero 7 is a classy, heavenly, peaceful band. This beautiful album has a mixture of folk, jazz, mild techno, and brass. The songs switch off having a soothing male singing to an almost angelic female, to just instrumentals. “When It Falls” is tastefully orchestrated, soulful, and touching. This album is one for a more distinguished taste in music. This is a perfect c.d. to unwind from a hard days work, or play softly while having a candle light dinner, or a slow drive on a summer day. There is almost a lullaby quality in each song that can sooth a weary soul. Zero 7 might never reach radio stations and I certainly can’t see them having a video; but if you love deep, enchanting music this one definitely deserves a try |
