Title: The Hangover Edition: Extreme Edition Genre: Comedy Starring: Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong Director: Todd Phillips Studio: Warner Home Video Runtime: 128 minutes Release Date: October 12, 2010 Format: BLU-RAY Discs: 2 MPAA Rating: Rating: ( )Grade: A THE WHOLE TOOTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TOOTH No effects or prosthetics were created for Stu's missing tooth. Actor Ed Helms never had an adult incisor grow, and his fake incisor was taken out for the parts of filming where Stu's tooth is missing. The Hangover was one of the best films of 2009 and was critically acclaimed worldwide. Up until now, there have been two versions of the film to choose from; the regular Director's Cut edition and the Unrated Edition. Almost a year later there is now a new Extreme Edition that includes a 28 page photo albums with even more pictures from the bachelor party. Is it enough to warrant another purchase though? QUALITY: BONUS FEATURES: The only two new addition to the Extreme release are the photo album and soundtrack disc. Supposedly the photo album includes never before seen photos from that night. Many of those include the some of the same scenes from the film, just shot from different angles. The sampler disc includes original songs from the movie like "Stu's Song" and "Stupid Tiger." If you're a fan of collector's editions and don't already own The Hangover on Blu-ray, then this is one to have. If you already do, then there really isn't much to warrant another purchase. Everything about it is great, it's just not worth an extra $30 for a photo album and soundtrack. Pictures: |
