THE WHOLE TOOTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TOOTH

No effects or prosthetics were created for Stu's missing tooth. Actor Ed Helms never had an adult incisor grow, and his fake incisor was taken out for the parts of filming where Stu's tooth is missing.

The Hangover was one of the best films of 2009 and was critically acclaimed worldwide.  Up until now, there have been two versions of the film to choose from; the regular Director's Cut edition and the Unrated Edition. Almost a year later there is now a new Extreme Edition that includes a 28 page photo albums with even more pictures from the bachelor party. Is it enough to warrant another purchase though?

QUALITY:
The film looks just as good as expected. The quality remains the same across all Blu-ray releases so there are no surprises. The picture is crisp and the sound is fantastic. The unrated version is about eight minutes longer than the theatrical one, both of which are included so you'll be happy no matter what.

BONUS FEATURES:
Picture-in-picture commentary with cast and crew, Map of Destruction, The Madness of Ken Jeong, Action Mash-Up, Three Best Friends Song, The Dan Band Performs Fame, Deluxe Full-Color 28-Page Wedding Photo Album, and 5-Song Soundtrack Sampler Disc.

The only two new addition to the Extreme release are the photo album and soundtrack disc. Supposedly the photo album includes never before seen photos from that night. Many of those include the some of the same scenes from the film, just shot from different angles. The sampler disc includes original songs from the movie like "Stu's Song" and "Stupid Tiger."

If you're a fan of collector's editions and don't already own The Hangover on Blu-ray, then this is one to have. If you already do, then there really isn't much to warrant another purchase. Everything about it is great, it's just not worth an extra $30 for a photo album and soundtrack.
