Wolverine & The Canceled X-Men Turok Returns and My 5 Wants 5 Likes 2 Questions on Thor Dark World

NEWS WITH SOME COMICS:
With all the new titles that Marvel is bringing out with the All-New Marvel Now! set to release in 2014 the is also a title getting canceled, one that I actually like. Wolverine and the X-Men will come to an end in February with issue #42 (the answer to life the universe and everything). Due to his full work load, Jason Aaron will no longer be working on the book nor will the book be published. Which is kind of sucky considering that this is a good book and has brought back the fun to the X-Men that's been missing for some number of years. At one time there was actually jokes and levity being put in the X books but at one point that was lost in all the death and destruction. This was the title that had that again with Doop the mutant only a few understood, a living lawn, and the bamfs that was always giving someone trouble. It was a fun book and I'm not pleased to see that this is one that will no longer be getting published.

Remember the 90's? I do and it was a time of the variant cover where every title had a billion covers. It was not a good time for comics, even though the publishers still do the variants today just not as many, I have some news about one of those 90's titles. Turok the Dinosaur Hunter will be getting another chance with the comic world. Coming out February 5, 2014 Turok the Dinosaur Hunter #1 will be written by Greg Pak, drawn by Mirko Colak, and published by Dynamite comics. I'm curious as to how this will turn out but the cover is not inducing thoughts of the original guy who could take down anyone. Take a look.

If you skipped over all those spoilers and you haven't watched Thor: Dark World yet then don't blame me for you learning something you didn't want to learn. At this point though you can guess that I'm going to talk about Thor: Dark World and what I thought about it, or at least some of what I thought about it. More to the fact of what I thought should have been in it or having a little bit more being shown.

So here's my list of what I would have liked to seen in Thor: Dark World.

1) Balder the Brave. Come on this is the second Thor movie, Asgard was shown a lot more in this one, there where a whole lot of Asgardians walking around, how come there was no Balder? He's also a brother to Thor, he could have been used in a scene just to ask for advice about Frigga or even about Loki.
2) More of the Warriors Three. Ok we got them in the first movie and they where used somewhat in this one but just not enough. I was wanting to see more of Fandral in a sword fight and getting the lady Asgardians, some of Volstagg eating and making fun of Loki, and Hogun beating someone with his mace.
3) Spreaking more of, there should have been more Heimdall doing more. We had him standing in the first Thor, we saw him defy Odin in the first movie, why are we seeing that again in this one? He should have been in the thick of it with Thor and the others when Malekith attacked.
4) Lady Sif, MORE OF LADY SIF! I can't stress that enough. This is the other woman that Thor loves/loved (depending on time line) and she is one of the toughest women of Asgard. She's not used enough in this movie, we see her, she has some speaking roles, but she's more of a background extra than a major character in the Thor story. Not only that there are moments when she looks at Jane Foster like she wants to say something but nothing ever happens. I don't want to see some cat fight between the two but I would have liked to seen Jane Foster do something that would have Lady Sif approach her in a way that said yes I see why Thor likes you now. I would also have liked to seen her kicking some Dark Elves butt.
5) Darcy, yes Darcy, I wanted more of her. I won't hide the fact that I like actress Kat Dennings, for both her acting and her looks, so having more of her in it would have been great.

Now, that's the list of what I would have liked to have seen but here is what I liked seeing.

1) Mjolnir. Pretty much all scenes with the hammer was awesome. More so were the scenes at the end when Thor and Malekith was jumping around in the portals but Thor had already thrown Mjolnir so it was going to find him, only Thor wasn't on Earth so it was going to travel through space to get to him. It was cool just seeing the hammer flying around like that. I also really liked the scene in the apartment when Thor hangs it up.
2) Caps cameo, I wasn't expecting it at all. I've avoided looking at info on the movie before going into it (like I do with all movies) but this was totally unexpected and it was funny.
3) Loki without an illusion covering the way he really looks was a good touch. It showed he does actually or did actually care for his mother Frigga. Still in the end he is still Loki.
4) This actually looked like what a Thor movie would be. Thor is a character I've always liked because he has a good balance of fighting and personal matters. This showed a good amount of both.
5) Bor, he was the most shocking character to see in this movie. Sure he's been brought up through the years in the comics but not that much really, especially being that he is the first king of Asgard. So seeing him in the movie was really cool and unexpected.

Though I did have a two questions stemming from the movie.

1) Mjolnir is supposed to be able to create it's own portals so that Thor can travel in space and time, so why would he need a way off Asgard other than the rainbow bridge?
2) Speaking of the hammer, when Thor and Malekith was porting between realms and Mjolnir was going to travel through space to get to Thor, does that mean the other realms are accessable through space travel?
