Coleman Silk (Anthony Hopkins) is a college professor accused of using a racial slur in class.  This film is a dark look into how one person can affect the lives of others and the secrets we keep can harm everyone. Anthony Hopkins is greatly miscast for his role even though his acting is wonderful. Nicole Kidman is a little hard to believe as a white trash abused woman. This movie is based off a book and is a little to complex and deep to try to condense into a movie. It seems to have too many things going on to get the full meaning. This movie might please Anthony Hopkins fans or lovers of intense dramas; but others might chose to pass. Bonus features are slim containing only behind the scenes and a tribute to Jean Yves Escoffier.
