Undefeated is a 2011 documentary that chronicles the ups and downs of the Manassas Tigers of Memphis, Tennessee. It's a fascinating look at a football system that, by virtue of history and socio-economic demographics, was traditionally the whipping boy of the state. Led by volunteer head coach Bill Courtney, this is a team that faced adversity after adversity, and yet still found the strength and determination to persevere and keep fighting. Under normal circumstances, so much of this story would seem stereotypical and clichéd. It's got all the hallmarks of a Hollywood feel-good football movie and indeed, it won an Oscar for Best Documentary in 2012. Yet it's a true story and all the more compelling for that simple fact.
