Kenny Chesney on Course for Seventh No. 1 Album on Billboard 200

On next week's Billboard 200 chart, watch for country superstar Kenny Chesney to claim his seventh No. 1 as his new "Life On a Rock" should debut atop the list. Industry sources suggest the set could move around 140,000 or so by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, May 5.

It follows "Welcome to the Fishbowl," released in June 2012, which debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 193,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Chesney has been on an incredible chart roll for nearly 10 years. Since 2004, all nine of his regular full-length albums have debuted in the top four on the Billboard 200.

The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, May 8.

Meanwhile, Michael Buble's current No. 1, "To Be Loved," is likely to slip below the 100,000 mark in its second week, while no other new releases are aiming anywhere close to 100,000. The next-largest bow on the Billboard 200 could come from Randy Rogers Band's "Trouble," which may sell 25,000. The country group's last set, 2010's "Burning the Day," opened at No. 8 with 29,000.
