Patty Jenkins Confirms Steve Trevor's Return as Principle Photography Begins on 'Wonder Woman 1984'

Principle photography has begun on Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to last year's Wonder Woman, and director Patty Jenkins is already shocking audiences by sharing the first official image from the film featuring non other than the return of Chris Pine's Steve Trevor.

Audiences of the first film will remember that Steve sacrificed himself after he hijacked a bomber full of Doctor Maru's poison and detonated in the air. In the image posted to social media by Jenkins we can see Steve in a mall setting looking just as confused about his return as we are. In addition, Gal Gadot posted her own photo from the film as Diana Prince looks among a group of CRT television monitors.

As the title suggests, Wonder Woman 1984 will take place in the 1980s as Wonder Woman finds herself facing off against a new foe, The Cheetah, who was previously announced as being played by Kristen Wiig. In addition, Warner Bros. has also announced that Pedro Pascal will be joining the film in an undisclosed role.

Wonder Woman 1984 will be released on November 1, 2019.
