CBS posted another ratings victory on Friday, but sophomore drama Blue Bloods dropped. Rookie supernatural medical procedural A Gifted Man (7.8 million total viewers, 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 demographic) grew in both key measures from the previous week, and the same could be said for CSI: NY (10 million, 1.7). But while Blue Bloods (10.9 million, 1.7) was the only CBS drama that improved last week, it's the only one to drop two-tenths in the demo this time around. Notably, A Gifted Man -- still awaiting official word for a full-season pickup -- tied with ABC's repeat of the Last Man Standing premiere (4.9 million, 1.3) in 18-49 in its 8 p.m. time slot. CBS was the No. 1 network in total viewers (9.6 million) and the demo (1.6). Fox's Fringe (3.1 million, 1.2) continued its topsy-turvy ride, dipping one-tenth after rising last week. Its lead-in Kitchen Nightmares (3.6 million, 1.4) also saw a slight decrease. Even so, the network placed second on the night in the demo, averaging a 1.3 rating. NBC tied for third with ABC, averaging a 1.2. As it readies for its Chuck and Grimm launches in less than two weeks, NBC aired repeats of The Office (2.1 million, 0.7) and Parks & Recreation (1.5 million, 0.5), as well as two hours of Dateline (5.7 million, 1.5). ABC aired Standing, repeats of Modern Family (3.7 million, 1.3) and Suburgatory (3.1 million, 1.1) as well as 20/20 (4.7 million, 1.2). The CW's Nikita (1.7 million, 0.6) rose while Supernatural (1.6 million, 0.7) remained steady. CBS -- 1.6 Release Date: October 17, 2011 |
