The Green Children
Milla Sunde and Marlow Bevan are The Green Children, a musical duo whose songs blend ethereal pop with post-modern dance beats. The two European-born artists and songwriters met while attending the Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts, an English university co-founded by Sir Paul McCartney. Their first album, Encounter, is set for worldwide release on Los Angeles-based Spinside Records in October 2010, and distributed by ADA and ADA Global.
1. If you could live in any time frame when would you choose?
I would have to say the 1960’s and 70’s because it was such a great time for music. We really love artists who write their own material and have something interesting to say. It seemed like a time for individuality rather than conformity, where everyone could have a unique voice.
There are many periods in history which would be incredible to visit, but the realities of living in those times would probably be pretty harsh!

3. Favorite instrument?
The Erhu, a two-stringed Chinese violin, it has such an emotive and beautiful sound!

Autumn!

Yes, Marlow! The other half of The Green Children!

A herbal bath.

8. Do you have any pets?
Yes, a beautiful Whippet called Merlin and two Abyssinian cats, Murphy and Mini!
9. How did you come up with the name The Green Children?
The story of our name is quite unique and strange. We came up with it whilst walking in the Norwegian woods and later realized there was a Medieval legend associated with it about a boy and a girl. If that was not fitting enough we discovered a whole manner of other similarities. One being that they claimed to come from a land with no sun, and I am allergic to the sun!
10. Your debut album "Encounter" is:
A true reflection of who we are and what we love! There is a little something for everything, all tied together with imagination, romance and larger than life perspective.
